Welcome to Eco Caminhos. By accessing our website, booking our programs (including Ecotourism, Volunteer, Internship/Research, and Study Abroad), or participating in any of our activities, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not use our website or services.

2. Program Bookings and Payments

All bookings for accommodation, tours, and programs are subject to availability and confirmation by Eco Caminhos:

• Deposits and Payments: To secure a spot in any program, specific deposits or full payments may be required as detailed during the checkout or application process.
• Currency and Rates: Prices are quoted in Brazilian Reais (R$) or United States Dollars (US$) depending on the program. Eco Caminhos reserves the right to modify prices at any time, but confirmed bookings will honor the agreed rates.
• Taxes: Applicable local taxes and program fees are included where specified in our pricing matrices.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that plans can change. However, due to the nature of our farm operations and program preparation, our cancellation policy is strictly enforced:

• Cancellations made well in advance of the program start date may be eligible for a partial refund, minus administrative and transaction fees.
• Late cancellations, no-shows, or early departures from ongoing programs are non-refundable.
• Specific terms may apply depending on whether you booked an Ecotourism package, an Internship, or a Study Abroad group program.

4. Participant Conduct and Safety

Eco Caminhos operates a working farm, ecological hub, and community living space. Safety and mutual respect are our highest priorities:

• Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, fellow guests, volunteers, local community members, and farm animals.
• Farm and Environmental Safety: Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by Eco Caminhos staff regarding farm tools, machinery, outdoor activities, hikes, and facilities.
• Zero Tolerance Policy: Eco Caminhos maintains a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drug use, excessive drunkenness, violence, harassment, or behavior that endangers the safety of others. Violation of this rule will result in immediate expulsion from the property without refund.

5. Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver

Participation in farm activities, volunteering, hiking, ecotourism tours, and staying in a rural ecological environment involves inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, wildlife encounters, physical labor, and weather conditions.

By booking and participating, you voluntarily assume all such risks and release Eco Caminhos, its owners, employees, and partners from any liability for injury, loss, damage, delay, or expense arising out of your participation, except in cases of proven gross negligence by management.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All content published on this website—including text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, video recordings, and software—is the property of Eco Caminhos or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any content without our explicit written consent.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

8. Changes to Terms

Eco Caminhos reserves the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms of Use at our sole discretion. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
