Os três meses que passei na Eco Caminhos foram uma das experiências mais transformadoras da minha vida. A combinação do oásis da natureza, o trabalho, a construção da fazenda e os diversos voluntários calorosos me permitiram encontrar a paz, a estabilidade interior e enxergar a mim e aos outros com mais clareza.
O ritmo de vida na natureza foi uma mudança bem-vinda, venho da cidade exigente e muitas vezes caótica e, esse ambiente realmente permite que os indivíduos desacelerem e se tornem mais envolvido com as coisas simples.
Acordar e abrir a porta para as montanhas tropicais nas suas cores verdes refrescou e me excitou a cada dia e a incrível diversidade de vida selvagem: espécies de vegetação, insetos e pássaros e, novas coisas para ficar curioso e aprender sobre.
O jardim de permacultura era diverso e cheio de vida. Foi interessante e esclarecedor ver sistemas naturais complexos funcionando de uma forma alternativa e sustentável aos métodos agrícolas tradicionalmente. A natureza física do trabalho pode ser exigente, mas todos fazem o melhor que podem no seu próprio ritmo. Com o tempo eu me senti preenchida, com nova força e energia.
As refeições no Eco Caminhos eram momentos de estar em comunidade e compartilhar alimentos saudáveis, a maioria sendo vegetais orgânicos do jardim. Os voluntários se revezam na culinária, um desafio divertido e criativo para alimentar mais ou menos 20 pessoas, oferecendo uma excelente oportunidade para quem quer aprender mais sobre culinária vegana e saudável de uma forma acessível e sustentável.
Os voluntários eram todos calorosos e abertos, as diferenças de perspectivas e posições na vida criaram um ambiente para aprender a coexistir com a diversidade e aceitar os outros em seu verdadeiro ser. Noites de jogos e noites de cinema, bem como conversas até de madrugada em torno de uma fogueira que reunia a todos.
No geral, minha experiência na Eco Caminhos enriqueceu muitas partes da minha vida. Saí sentindo-me mais saudável, mais enérgica, mais aberta e entusiasmada com a vida, com a esperança de saber que muitos projetos como este são dedicados a encontrar um modo de vida que respeite e assuma a responsabilidade pelo planeta e pessoas que nele habitam.
Estou cheia de gratidão por ter tido a oportunidade de experimentar este lindo lugar repleto de pessoas adoráveis.
