Los tres meses que pasé en Eco Caminhos fueron una de las experiencias más transformadoras de mi vida. La combinación del oasis de la naturaleza, el trabajo, la construcción de la hacienda y los diversos y cálidos voluntarios me permitieron encontrar paz, estabilidad interior y verme a mí mismo ya los demás con mayor claridad.
El ritmo de la vida en la naturaleza ha sido un cambio bienvenido, vengo de la ciudad exigente y a menudo caótica, y este entorno realmente permite que las personas disminuyan la velocidad y se involucren más con las cosas simples.
Despertar y abrir la puerta a las montañas tropicales con sus colores verdes me ha refrescado y entusiasmado todos los días y la increíble diversidad de la vida silvestre: especies de vegetación, insectos y aves, y nuevas cosas sobre las que tener curiosidad y aprender.
El jardín de permacultura era diverso y lleno de vida. Fue interesante y esclarecedor ver sistemas naturales complejos que funcionan de una manera alternativa y sostenible a los métodos de cultivo tradicionales. La naturaleza física del trabajo puede ser exigente, pero todos hacen su mejor esfuerzo a su propio ritmo. Con el tiempo me sentí lleno de nueva fuerza y energía.
Las comidas en Eco Caminhos fueron momentos de convivencia y compartir alimentos saludables, en su mayoría vegetales de jardín orgánicos. Los voluntarios se turnan para cocinar, un desafío divertido y creativo para alimentar a unas 20 personas, lo que brinda una gran oportunidad para cualquier persona que quiera aprender más sobre la cocina vegana y saludable de una manera asequible y sostenible.
Los voluntarios fueron todos cálidos y abiertos, las diferencias en las perspectivas y las posiciones en la vida crearon un entorno para aprender a convivir con la diversidad y aceptar a los demás en su verdadero ser. Noches de juegos y noches de cine, así como conversaciones a primera hora de la mañana alrededor de una hoguera que reunió a todos.
En general, mi experiencia en Eco Caminhos ha enriquecido muchas partes de mi vida. Me fui sintiéndome más saludable, más enérgico, más abierto y entusiasta con respecto a la vida, con la esperanza de saber que muchos proyectos como este están dedicados a encontrar una forma de vida que respete y asuma la responsabilidad del planeta y su gente.
Estoy agradecida de haber tenido la oportunidad de experimentar este hermoso lugar lleno de gente encantadora.
