Children and young people learn about sustainability while caring for an agroforestry garden
ABOUT ECOLIBRIUM

What problem are we
solving?

Children are growing up in a world where anxiety, isolation, and uncertainty are becoming increasingly common. They’re spending more time in front of screens and less time outdoors, while facing a future shaped by climate change and the loss of biodiversity.

As children become more disconnected from nature and have fewer opportunities to learn about sustainability through real-life experiences, the next generation is growing up less prepared to understand and care for the world around them. At the same time, the Atlantic Forest has been reduced to just 12% of its original extent, even though it is home to around 15% of all known species.

Who are we?

12 Years of Proven Impact

Associação Ecolibrium is a Brazilian non-profit created in 2023 to carry forward the educational mission of Eco Caminhos, our permaculture farm, a living laboratory for agroforestry, natural building, permaculture and regenerative farming developed over the past 12 years. We are passing years of knowledge and experience on to the next generation.

Who do we serve and how?

The Funding Opportunity

We are building a 1,200 m² sustainability education centre designed for practical learning, training and exchange. It will provide classrooms, a maker space, accommodation, a kitchen and community spaces where children, youth, farmers and university students can learn and work together. Phase I is complete and the centre has been operational since November 2025. Funding is now needed to complete the learning spaces and bring the centre to its full capacity.

What your investment will fulfill?

An investment in infrastructure creates a platform for education, income generation, and ecosystem regeneration, with an impact that can last for decades.

OUR GOALS FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS

0 Kids and Teenagers
0 Agricultures in transition to agroforestry
0 University students
0 Hectares of degraded land regenerated
0 Empowering vulnerable young people
0 Partnerships with schools and universities
0 Volunteers and visitors involved
0 Eco-farms adopting or replicating our model

How will we
measure success?

How will we become self-sustainable?

Donor funding builds the infrastructure. Our own revenue keeps the center running.

Revenue from school and university fees, the farm-to-table restaurant, paid courses, accommodation, ecotourism, and the sale of agricultural products will create a self-sustaining model designed to generate long-term impact.

Partners that believe in our mission

Let’s Train the Next Generation of Sustainability Leaders
