Looking to volunteer in Brazil and create real impact? At Eco Caminhos, a permaculture farm in the lush mountains of Nova Friburgo, we invite volunteers from around the world to join our mission of sustainable living and ecological restoration. Our farm is located in the heart of the Atlantic Forest, one of the world’s most important biodiversity hotspots, home to 15 percent of all known species on Earth, many of them unique to this region.

When you choose to volunteer in Brazil with us, you will take part in a hands-on learning journey in permaculture, agroforestry, and natural building (bioconstruction). Since 2015, Eco Caminhos has evolved into a leading model of self-sufficiency. We have constructed five large-scale natural buildings, planted over 12,000 native trees, and currently produce about 60 percent of our own organic food, with the goal of becoming fully self-sufficient in the near future.
